The Anderson deck
When I decided to get more serious about hitting the skatepark more often again, and trying to learn how to skate transition, I did quite a bit of research on board sizes, trucks, etc. The board I initiall setup was an 8.5in popsicle, with 149 Indy Standard XI and 58mm Bones SPF wheels.
Trying to cruise more in the larger bowl, this setup felt smallish pretty quickly. So I upgraded deck and trucks. I decided to go with the Powell Andy Anderson 9in Deck, an indestructable Flight deck, and Indy 169 Forged Hollow trucks. I'm pretty excited about it, especially about the deck. The shape is awesome and gives me more room to adjust my foot positioning while starting to go faster in the bowl.
The only thing I will mention is that putton on rails on that deck was tricky. The screws are too long (or the deck not as thick as a 7-ply) and stick out on the top, which is not ideal.
The design of this deck is unreal, so well done!
