Huntington

The Mount Washington Backcountry Festival got broken down into individual clinics this year, all happening throughout the season. I signed up again for an advanced backcountry clinic.

Our guide recommended Hunting Ravine. Avalanche risk was low and conditions looked OK.

It was a really good day tour, although condidtions at Huntington were not that great at all. Wind packed hard snow, not super fun to ride. But it was good to explore that part of Mount Washington.

After Huntington we crossed over to the Sherburne trail. The idea was to skin up to Tuckerman Ravine and have a look, but we ran out of time.

The Sherburne trail was in fantastic conditions today, not icy, good fluffy snow cover, a super fun ride down in late afternoon.
