Mellower

This morning I went over to the small park next to the pumptrack. I usually go for the slightly steeper bank and the curvy mellow quarters there. If the cruiser board is around, I certainly do enjoy a few laps in the pumptrack, gotta get that endurance up!

The mellower transition makes the back tail stalls a little bit easier I think. The tiny quarter pipe in my go-to park has a very abrupt transition, one that shoots you up and often over the coping. I find it really hard to get the timing right for back tail stalls on that tiny quarter pipe.

Another thing I appreciate about this mellow quarter is that it gradually goes from flat to about hip-high. So for trying and learing new tricks, you can choose your adventure and pick the height you feel comfortable with.

Also: grinding on concrete just sounds and feels so much better than on steel coping.

Still hitting a pivot on most back tail attempts.
