Mellow morning

Nahant beach, gate 4

Surf forecast was true to its predictions this morning: mellow 2-3ft bumps, well spaced sets and practically no wind. It was good morning session!

I'm also getting the hang of it. Except for a few pretty bad attempts on the first few waves, I think I'm starting to figure out better timing and popups. There was one particular wave where I got nice in over the lip, slightly angled and dropped down ~3ft, and then rode it all the way to the beach. That just felt so satisfying!

It's a rewarding feeling, after all that work it takes to actually get to the point where you can stand up on a surfboard...

About 20 attempts in total, 4 waves that I'm happy with.
