Monthly shoes

This DC Manual High Top held up a month until the sole was through and I could see all the way to the insole. I kind of blame the super sharp Jessup griptape on the new deck I set up a coulple weeks ago. It felt really sticky and could feel how it was taking layers off the shoe one by one.

Still, one month is really bad for a shoe that's supposed to be made for this activity. The marketing line in the shoe description...

SUPER RUBBER™ outsole lasts longer than traditional rubber'

...is a little bit of a joke I guess.

But, the shoe felt really good. Nice board feel and stability, fits really snug, just the way I like it. The upper parts wear much slower, not sign of wear on the laces whatsoever. I got another pair. Let's see how long that lasts now that the griptape is worn out a little bit and not so sharp any more.
