New Nora
After 2 popsicle decks I’m back to a shaped one: the Nora Vasconcellos from Welcome. I had this shape before and really liked it. For no particular reason, except that the width (8.6) suits me, it has a solid wheelbase of 14.6 inches and the pop feels mellow but good. Nollies, for instance, work much better on this deck than any other deck I've had this year.
Lately I’m working on getting my boardslides back. I land 1 out of 10 boardslides on a knee-high flatbar and would like to get them more consistently, and above all longer. Hurricane boardslide is the goal im aiming for, or a regular boardslide on a mellow and low downrail.
To make sliding easier, I decided to give rails another try on this setup. So far, they definitely help with more consistent slides, and getting less stuck in when you approach with a little less speed.
