Changing season
It was kind of a short and crappy snowboarding season. Snowfall was OK, the problem are the temperature swings throughout Winter. January was abnormally cold, -6°C was the high, by far the warmest temperate we had on the slopes. Starting the day at -12°C was the normal. And that was without windchill.
It was a freezing month!
And then in February there were those warm days, with rain, almost washouts, that substantially decimated the baselayer.
Then it snowed again, but not enough to recreate a good base. And then everything melted and washed away again in early March.
I've thrown in the towel for this season, and ended it. My excitement for a couple of good spring laps is very limitied this year.
But I was excited to get out on the Skateboard again this week, and just cruise around for while in an empty park this morning. Love my setup, the 95A wheels are good choice, really nice to just roll around on.
Can't wait to go again (when it stops raining)!
