Loggerhead

Critical Slide Loggerhead 9'8 Longboard

After 4 seasons on my Torq 9'6 Pinline I thought I'm ready for a change. I had my eyes on this one at the end of last year. Mostly because it's one of the few single fin longboards they have in stock at the local surf shop next to my go to surf beach.

I went to the store, picked up the board, drove over to the beach, waxed it and put it into the water between tons of swimmers and 1-2ft slightly choppy conditions.

Paddled around a little bit and caught a few choppy bumps, it was great! 😄

I didn't image that I would actually feel a difference in surfboards, but I did. It moves and glides easier, but also feels more wiggly or less stable, which I don't mind. Main differences are that it has slightly more rocker, 10l less volume while being 2" longer.

I like to new ride, can't wait until the next clean swell hits our coast!
