Crusty slappy
Took the girls on a bike ride today, and had my skateboard on my backpack, no hidden agenda there :)
There's this loading dock that I discovered a couple months ago. It has this small bank-shaped curb. Back then I thought whenever I figure out slappies, I'm going to come back and try this curb.
The small curb is really easy to get on. But the ride towards it is less than ideal: slightly uphill, and full of large cracks and pebbles. It's also fairly narrow. So you need to get speed uphill, navigate the cracks and pebbles, and then make a sharp turn to make it onto the curb.
Coming down is also tricky: the front trucks dive right into this big crack, filled with pebbles and broken concrete junks.
Somehow I managed to land one. Not the prettiest execution, but I take it! It felt so good to coming out of that little ditch and roll away. After all that park and bowl skating, I totally enjoyed that crusty spot.
I think you could transfer into a small wallride before coming off, if you manage to get enough speed uphill. Big if though.
