Season ender

Overlooking Green Mountains from Stowe

It was a weird winter season, full of temperature swings, disappearing and re-appearing snow packs. For this weekend there were some 10-15cm new snow on the forecast, on not so much of a base, but I thought I give it a try and go up to Stowe, Vermont.

Oh boy, was that worth it, probably the best day of my season!

Most of my day I spent in the trees, which, given there was not much of a base, was suprisingly good.

Some good old Vermont hardwood

The second half of the day I rhode on the new Stormchaser. I've changed my binding setup to a slightly wider and forward oriented stance. Positive angles on both back and front foot. I'm not yet entirely convinced if I like it. Maybe the front foot needs to be even steeper now that the back foot also has a positibe angle. Leaves me some room for experimentation I guess.
