Low tide, light offshore breeze, all conveniently timed in the early afternoon at Nahant? I’ll take it.
Even the ☀️ came out for a little bit in the afternoon!
Started out with hood. It’s so comfy when your ears are protected from the still pretty chilly water. After an hour or so I dropped it, it got pretty warm I have to say. The difference in sound perception was interesting though. With the hood off everything suddenly sounded so fresh and crisp.
Waves were on the smallish side all day long. Maybe with some sets thigh high at best. The offshore breeze definitely helped to shape them steep enough to pop up and go, and I got a few nice long rides in.
My highlight was trying to intentionally turn, go up and down these small waves, instead of just trimming in a straight line. One right wave I rode until it closed, and shortly before my ride was done, I noticed it had a little bit more life to the left. So I managed to get the board slowly around and continue a little bit left until it side closed out there as well. Fun times!
