Went to the pumptrack this morning. The plan was to work the curvy little quarters, but there were a few new DIY pieces. The DIY quality over there is impressive. There’s a really well done little round quarter, a ride-on circular round rail, and the new stuff I saw today: a kind of curb with a metal edge and a flatbar spine.
I tried to get a rock to fakie on that flatbar spine. It’s fun, but you gotta be really precise riding onto that thing. A small mistake and the board tips off, you lose footing, and the wet grass underneath does not help at all to find grip.
Now I have the coping imprinted in blue on my left butt cheek. Ouch!
